Fancast: Tom Won’t Direct A Second Episode

Matt Webb Mitovich revealed in his latest version of ‘The Big Tease’ at Fancast.com about Tom’s directing status.

At Comic Con last year, Tom Wellig himself said he will direct two episodes this season. He already directed one – the second half of ‘Absolute Justice’. It seems due he is busy with Smallville and his first own project with his production company, Hellcats – pilot for theCW, he isn’t availiable to direct a second episode.

Tom’s First Series Gets Picked Up

TheCW picked a few pilots for the upcoming TV season 2010/2011. Entertainment Weekly’s columnist Michael Ausiello just revealed that theCW picked up Tom Welling’s first series producing.

It’s called ‘Hellcats‘. It’s about a world of competitive college cheerleading. If you want to dicuss the project and Tom as producer of this series go HERE.

It means at least there will be a pilot produced for this series.

Latest Clark Information On ‘Absolute Justice’

TheCW released episode stills for Smallville’s event called ‘Absolute Justice’ which airs NEXT WEEK’s Friday. There are some Tom pictures availiable.

In addition to that, theCW released webclips and new trailers in the past few days which features Tom as Clark Kent. Furthermore, Brian Peterson talked about Clark in ‘Absolute Justice’ and other Clark related things. There are other reports which provides new Clark related information and the official description for episode 9.14 ‘Persuasion’ is also up.

Don’t forget the second half of ‘Absolute Justice’ is directed by Tom Welling. Please tune in.

Tom’s First Own Production

This year, Tom Welling became co-executive producer for the current season of Smallville. It seems he enjoys his stay behind the cameras a lot. Because there are some news about Tom producing a new TV series.

Today, Variety.com announced that Tom Welling, Kevin Murphy (Desperate Housewives alumn) and A.J. Marcantonio will adapt the book ‘Cheer: Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders’ through Warner Bros. TV and Welling’s production company – Tom Welling Productions. All three of them will be the producers of this.
