Daemon’s TV posted some episode stills which were released by theCW for Smallville 9.16 ‘Escape’. Tom Welling as Clark Kent was featured in three of them.

Further Details About ‘Hellcats’

Vancouver’s production has revealed that Alan Arkush who worked on ‘Heroes’ as producer and director will direct Tom Welling Production’s first pilot – ‘Hellcats’. The production list revealed also a few other details like a current Smallville co-executive producer joins the team.

In addtion to that, Trailersfromhell.com has revealed an aspect of the pilot which wasn’t revealed yet.

New Smallville Return Trailer

TheCW revealed another new trailer for Smallville’s return in April 2nd with episode 9.16 ‘Escape’. This trailer included scenes from 9.16 ‘Escape’, 9.17 ‘Checkmate’ and 9.18 ‘Upgrade’.

Smallville Season 10 Is Official

Today, theCW officially renewed Smallville for a tenth season which is likely the last season for it. Here is a part of the official press release:

SMALLVILLE, a modern retelling of the Superman legend, stars Tom Welling as Clark Kent. The series moved to Friday nights this season, where it currently ranks as network television’s #1 show in its time period among men 18-34 and men 18-49. Additionally, SMALLVILLE has dramatically improved The CW’s ratings performance in its Friday 8:00-9:00p.m.time period by 67% among adults 18-34 (1.5/6), 200% in men 18-34 (1.8/7), 75% in adults 18-49 (1.4/5), 183% in men 18-49 (1.7/6) and 74% in total viewers (3.12million).

Return Trailer For Smallville

TheCW revealed, after the ending of tonight’s episode, the trailer for Smallville’s return in April 2nd with episode 9.16 ‘Escape’. It seems the trailer is based on 9.17 ‘Checkmate’ and 9.18 ‘Upgrade’.

You can see Clark aka Tom Welling sharing scenes with Zod (Callum Blue) in the fortress, Checkmate’s leader Amanda Waller (Pam Grier) and an unexpected meeting with Metallo/John Corben (Brian Austin Green).

‘Conspiracy’ Tonight

Tonight, Smallville will air an episode which deals about Clark and Zod. How will the relationship further develop after the events of last week’s episode ‘Persuasion’? Don’t forget: This is the last new episode for the upcoming weeks. Smallville returns with ‘Escape’ on April 2nd. Here is what the official descripton says about ‘Conspiracy’.
“Zod Is Shot — Bernard Chisholm (guest star J.R. Bourne), a doctor who died and was brought back to life by the Kandorians so they can experiment on him, escapes and kidnaps some Kandorians in order to prove aliens have invaded Earth. Bernard tries to get Lois (Erica Durance) to write a story validating his claim, but when Lois refuses, he kidnaps her too. In an effort to save his people, Zod (Callum Blue) poses as a reporter from the Daily Planet and uncovers Bernard’s secret lab. Clark (Tom Welling) arrives at the lab just in time to see Zod get shot. Turi Meyer directed the episode written by Al Septien & Turi Meyer.”

TVOvermind posted nine episode stills which were released by theCW for Smallville 9.15 ‘Conspiracy’. Tom Welling as Clark Kent was featured in eight of them.

Smallville episode 9.15 ‘Conspiracy’ which will be the last episode before Smallville’s break will air this Friday at 8pm on theCW. The hiatus ends with episode 9.16 ‘Escape’ which will air April 2nd.

Fancast: Tom Won’t Direct A Second Episode

Matt Webb Mitovich revealed in his latest version of ‘The Big Tease’ at Fancast.com about Tom’s directing status.

At Comic Con last year, Tom Wellig himself said he will direct two episodes this season. He already directed one – the second half of ‘Absolute Justice’. It seems due he is busy with Smallville and his first own project with his production company, Hellcats – pilot for theCW, he isn’t availiable to direct a second episode.
